A Life Update

Ava Wylie

Hi everyone, the past few months have been quite a journey. When I last shared, I was finishing college, working at a local restaurant, and selling at Farmer’s Markets. Since then, a lot has changed. I am now in the middle of a church internship with Dwelling Place Church, I just started a part-time work in marketing, and continuing to build this God given business.

Over the summer, I felt called by the Lord to pause Feed The 5 Thousand and travel to Nebraska for another internship — completely on my own, in the middle of nowhere. It was one of the most challenging seasons I’ve walked through. God strengthened me through this season and shaped me into a more grounded woman of God.

There is so much I could share, but the greatest lesson I learned was the importance of intentional time with God. Many mornings, I would wake up at 3 or 4 AM just to be in His presence before starting work. During that time, God moved in powerful ways. I saw Him touch hearts, bring people to tears, and bring healing I could never explain. His love became the center of my heart.

When I moved to Houston afterward, the transition was tough. I didn’t feel like myself. Starting my internship helped me slowly rebuild community and stability. I went gluten-free which helped me gain more energy and reach others who could not have my product with gluten.

I’ve now launched the first of many posts and testimonies through Feed The 5 Thousand on my Instagram and Facebook. My heart is to impact lives through both health and the ministry of the Gospel.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: Don’t give up. Stay surrounded by community. Keep pursuing God. Keep moving forward.
